CoolSim is licensed as an annual software subscription. This page is a plain-language overview of how licensing works. The formal terms are set out in your Subscription and License Agreement, which governs your use of the software.
Subscription licensing
Access to CoolSim is provided under a subscription. An active subscription includes:
- use of the CoolSim application and the CoolSim Viewer;
- cloud compute for running simulations, measured in Compute Units; and
- software updates and support for the duration of your subscription.
Plans differ in the number of Compute Units included and the level of support and onboarding. For current plans and pricing, contact our team.
Evaluating CoolSim
You can evaluate CoolSim with a 30-day trial license. Trials include a limited allocation of Compute Units so you can model your own facility before committing. Request a trial to get started.
Add-on capabilities
Specialized studies — campus-scale external flow, transient thermal-failure analysis, and pollutant dispersion — are available as add-ons to a subscription or as scoped consulting engagements. See CFD consulting or talk to us about your scenario.
Ownership
The CoolSim software is owned by Applied Math Modeling, Inc. and is built on Ansys Fluent solver technology under our partnership with Ansys. A subscription grants you the right to use the software; it does not transfer ownership.
